FCC to analyze current radiation emission guidelines for cell phones

The Federal Communications Commission chairman, Julius Genachowski, has asked the committee to launch a formal inquiry into the agency's radiation emission guidelines for cell phone manufacturers. The guidelines are designed to protect consumers from the harmful effects of radiation produced by mobile phones and haven't been updated for many years.

Samsung pushes Canadian launch of Galaxy S III to June 27, cites "unprecedented demand"

The Samsung Galaxy S III smartphone was due to launch on major Canadian carriers in just a few days, on June 20. However, thanks to "unprecedented demand" for the high-profile device, Samsung says that it will not be available in Canada until June 27. It's not clear if the delay is due to the shortage of Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processors used in the North American Galaxy S III or not, but Samsung maintains that any future supply shortages will be short lived. This is certainly frustrating news for Canadians that were hoping to get their hands on the flagship smartphone from the world's largest smartphone manufacturer this week, but as they say, good things come to those who wait.
