Apple revises App Store policy: password required

Posted: 10 Mar 2011 12:46 PM PST

Apple has modified its iPhone App Store policies to give parents more control over the way their children may spend money via applications. Apple used to give a 15-minute window after the user entered his/her Apple ID and password to make in-app purchases. Now, every time a purchase is made from within an application, such as song downloads from iTunes, the user must re-enter Apple ID and password information. The revision was made after Apple received complaints from parents that their children had spent hundreds of dollars in charges during that 15-minute password-free period.

Posted: 10 Mar 2011 12:24 PM PST

Confirmed specs for the Stealth V include 4.3 inches of Samsung's highly-praised Super AMOLED Plus screen, an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, and connection to the 4G LTE network.

Net neutrality leaves mobile services defenseless

Posted: 10 Mar 2011 11:20 AM PST

While the net neutrality rules propose that fixed providers are banned from blocking content, apps, services or devices, the rules state that wireless providers have more wiggle room. Like their fixed counterparts, they are prohibited from blocking lawful Web sites or rival apps, but still have the authority to block services such as Netflix or Hulu Plus.
