| Microsoft killing Danger Service for T-Mobile Sidekick users on May 31 Posted: 01 Mar 2011 04:56 AM PST T-Mobile has issued a statement saying that after May 31, Microsoft's Danger Service, which is used to provide cloud data services to T-Mobile Sidekick users, will no longer be available. T-Mobile said it will provide offers to current Sidekick owners before May 31 to help soften the blow of a new phone purchase. T-Mobile's website will also offer a web tool that can be used to export personal data, contacts, photos, calendar entries, notes, lists, bookmarks, and more from the Danger Service to a new phone or a computer. | Motorola XOOM Android Gingerbread tablet pre-orders begin in the UK Posted: 01 Mar 2011 04:49 AM PST The Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi edition is now available for pre-order from PC World in the UK and is priced at GBP449.99 ($731). The XOOM is powered by Android Honeycomb 3.0 and sports a 10.1-in display, a 5MP camera with 720p video recording, and a forward-facing 1.3MP camera for video chat. | Verizon VZ Navigator for HTC Thunderbolt 4G hits Android Market Posted: 01 Mar 2011 04:47 AM PST Verizon's navigation app, VZ Navigator, is now available for the HTC ThunderBolt smartphone, which is yet to hit store shelves. The Android Market is showing the GPS app to be offered for $2.99 per day, $4.99 a week or $9.99 a month. The new HTC ThunderBolt is part of the initial round of 4G LTE powered Android smartphones to be offered by Verizon Wireless. It features a large 4.3-inch display and an 8 megapixel camera. | Nokia updates Series 40 Ovi Browser Beta Posted: 28 Feb 2011 07:13 AM PST Today Nokia announced that the latest version of its Ovi Browser Beta for Series 40 devices is now available. The new browser offers a more colorful start page with a collection of links to Twitter, Orkut, IMDB, Yahoo, Photobucket, and Amazon, among others. The latest version also supports 85 languages with localized start pages for India, Indonesia, Russia, and China. The browser should also reduce page load times by 90 percent. | AT&T to sell Kindle 3G in stores nationwide Posted: 28 Feb 2011 06:52 AM PST Today AT&T announced that it will begin selling Amazon's Kindle 3G eReader in its stores beginning on March 6. The Kindle 3G is capable of connecting over Wi-Fi or over AT&T's 3G network to download ebooks and other content.
