Android 4.4 KitKat promised for more Motorola phones released in 2012

Motorola excitedly announced today that it has already begun the process of updating the Moto X to Android 4.4 KitKat on Verizon Wireless, and more carrier versions of the phone can expect an update soon. Now, the company has upgraded the status of more devices released last year that will be updated.

T-Mobile taking on $2 billion in debut to fund new spectrum buys

T-Mobile US has spent much of the $4 billion it earned from the failed sale to AT&T on network improvements and completely altering its service plans in order to attract new customers. The fourth-largest carrier in the US has announced plans to sell $1 billion of Senior Notes that it will have to repay by 2022 and an additional $1 billion to be paid in 2024. Taking on the debt will allow T-Mobile to fund investments for its network and buy more licenses from spectrum holders and government auctions without compromising "financial stability."

The press has poorly rated the Samsung Galaxy Gear smart watch, but Samsung has refuted reports of poor sales by claiming that it has sold hundreds of thousands of Galaxy Gear units in the short time that the watch has been available.
