AT&T Locker for iOS offers 5GB of free online file storage Posted: 01 Nov 2012 02:07 PM PDT Amazon wasn't the only company to show a new cloud-based storage app today. AT&T has released its AT&T Locker app for iOS, allowing Apple iPhone users to backup, store, view, and share their photos from their phone to the cloud. AT&T Locker, which is also available for Android, offers up to 5GB of storage of photos, videos, music, and other files for free. The carrier then offers an additional 30GB for $3.99 per month or 100GB for $9.99 per month. AT&T Locker files can be accessed on mobile phones or at https://locker.att.net. Microsoft Windows Phone Companion App for Mac adds drag-and-drop, Windows Phone 8 support Posted: 01 Nov 2012 05:36 AM PDT Microsoft released a new Windows Phone 8 management app for PC's earlier this week, and the company has updated its Mac application to be compatible with Windows Phone 8. Version 3.0 of the Windows Phone Companion App for Mac adds drag-and-drop file transfer to the phone from Finder or the companion app. It also adds support for iPhoto 9.3.2 and Aperture 3.3.2; displays battery charge state; enhances ringtone capabilities; and supports Retina display. The Windows Phone Companion App for Mac simplifies file management, including iTunes music sync, and is available for free in the Mac App Store.
