Today Apple released iPhone OS version 3.1.3. The update includes a few security updates and bug fixes. According to Macworld, the fixes include more accurate battery level reporting on the iPhone 3GS and security issues relating to media files and its WebKit browser.

Verizon extends free calls to Haiti by two weeks

Verizon today said that its wireline and wireless customers can continue to call Haiti without long distance fees for two more weeks. The deal will last until February 14th, an extension from the original January 31st cutoff.

Firefox for Mobile launches on Maemo Platform, Nokia N900

Mozilla recently announced that its Firefox for Mobile browser is now available for Nokia's Maemo platform, the operating system on the Nokia N900.
