Novatel Wireless to use Qualcomm's wearable mobile device 1x and 1x EV-DO Rev. A modules Posted: 25 Feb 2010 05:42 AM PST Novatel Wireless today said that it has expanded its portfolio of embedded machine-to-machine and consumer electronic devices by completing a technology transfer agreement with Qualcomm for its Wearable Mobile Device 1X and 1X EV-DO Rev. A modules. The wearable devices provide 3G connectivity as well as GPS, an accelerometer, and Bluetooth functionality in a small form factor. Novatel Wireless didn't get into specifics as to what it will embed the module into, but the company can now commercialize it to device manufacturers. Read the full story here.
