T-Mobile launches HD Voice on 4G smartphones

T-Mobile today announced that it will improve phone call quality on select smartphones by launching HD Voice across its 4G network. The new HD Voice system "dramatically improves in-call voice quality," according to T-Mobile, and can reduce surrounding wind and noise around the device's microphone. There are limits to enhanced calling options. Both callers must use T-Mobile 4G smartphones, so calling non-4G phones will not yield any benefits in call quality.
