Rogers expands suretap mobile payments to Android and BlackBerry 10 phones

First launched in November 2012, suretap has enabled wireless payment transfers in select BlackBerry smartphones. Rogers now makes it possible to pay for items with your phone using Android or BlackBerry 10.

Samsung may develop Android mirrorless digital camera

Samsung already has a point and shoot camera running Android software, but a new trademark filing with the USPTO suggests that the Korean manufacturer may also integrate Android into one of its higher-quality mirrorless digital cameras.

AT&T 4G LTE expands in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Ohio, and Tennessee

AT&T expanded the reach of its 4G LTE network last week, and the carrier announced today that it is once again plugging the holes of its coverage area in some smaller markets. LTE is now available in Mobile, Alabama; Waterbury and Meriden, Conn.; Sebring, Fla.; Athens and Bowling Green, Ohio; and Dyersburg and Ripley, Tenn. Parts of surrounding areas in these markets may also see limited coverage.

Jawbone Up Android app brings its fitness and life tracking to more smartphones

Jawbone made a name for itself as a producer of Bluetooth headset and speakers before introducing Jawbone Up, a wristband that tracks everything from calories burned to sleep patterns. Now the previously iPhone-only accessory has run over to Android.
