Opera Mini for iPhone and iPad add iOS 6 and 4.2 compatibility, bug fixes

Opera has released new versions of its Opera Mini alternative browser that should enable better performance on Apple iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch products. The latest version of Opera Mini is now more compatible with iOS 6 thanks to various bug fixes, and it has added integration with Facebook. Opera has addressed the errors that appeared when attempting to play YouTube videos or share emails, and saving images should be easier than the previous version allowed. The app has also been updated to work properly on iOS 4.2, so iPhone 3G and iPod touch 2nd generation users should once again be able to use Opera Mini. Download from iTunes

Sony Xperia TL comes to AT&T Nov. 2 for $99

AT&T and Sony have announced that the Sony Xperia TL, the phone expected to earn plenty of product placement screen time in the upcoming James Bond film Skyfall, is coming to AT&T next week. The Sony Xperia TL will be available at AT&T for $99 on a two year-agreement. The phone has a 4.55-inch HD display; a 13 megapixel camera; NFC capability, with support for Xperia SmartTags; and media support for HDMI, MHL, and DLNA. The Xperia TL will be compatible with AT&T's 4G LTE network, though availability will vary by market. More information on the Xperia TL is available here.
