| Sprint offering free femtocell to customers with coverage issues Posted: 21 Aug 2010 11:08 AM PDT According to a Sprint representative, Sprint has started issuing free 3G voice and data capable Airave femtocells to customers that have "specific in-building coverage issues." Femtocells act as mini cell towers that connect cell phones to the carrier's network over the user's broadband internet connection. The original Airave did not offer 3G data capabilities and sold for $99.99 up front and $4.99 per month. Read the full story here.
