Nokia Exec: Symbian^4 on Nseries a "strong possibility" yet, in spite of prior MeeGo speculation

Backpedaling a bit from the Linux-based MeeGo-only future Nokia had seemingly told CNET Australia of, Nokia Executive Vice President of Markets Anssi Vanjoki said in a blog post that while the Nokia N8 is going to be the only Symbian^3 Nseries smartphone, a Symbian^4 Nseries device remains a "very strong possibility". He followed that up with a virtual wink.

Verizon offering $25 gift cards for those who didn't get HTC Incredible when promised

The HTC DROID Incredible has had some shipping delays due to AMOLED shortages, and as a thank you for its customers' patience, Verizon Wireless is offering a $25 gift card. Verizon Wireless also noted that it intends to fulfill all of its HTC DROID Incredible outstanding orders. Update: Verizon Wireless has corrected its statement to say that the gift card is for those that didn't get their phone when it was promised, and that it's not for everyone on the wait list. The cards will be shipped directly to customers.

Apple: iPhone 4 antenna signal strength indicator "totally wrong," fix coming

Today Apple released a note to its iPhone 4 customers stating that the iPhone 4 antenna is not correctly reporting signal strength at times, due to a formula that was "totally wrong," which has caused the antenna issues. A free software fix is coming soon.

Nexus One receives FRF91 Android 2.2 update

The Nexus One is receiving another Android 2.2 Froyo update called FRF91, according to the xda-developers forums which leaked the official file. Engadget says it's just a security update, and that it's also going out over-the-air.

Nokia updates E71, E66, N97 Mini, N97 firmware

Nokia has updated the firmware for the E71, E66, N97, and N97 mini smartphones. According to Into Mobile, the E71 and E66 update adds Ovi Maps 3.3 with free voice-guided navigation, as well as bug fixes, a music player patch, and an updated version of Quick Office. The N97 was updated with bug fixes, Ovi Maps 3.3, RAM fixes, and "improved C: disk usage." There aren't notes for what was updated with the N97 mini.
