Oppo N3 Passes TENAA in China

The Oppo N3 has been showing up over the last few months, most notably in an AnTuTu benchmark test back in November. The handset is now getting closer to launch as it has been in, passed, and certified by TENAA, Chin's equivalent of the FCC that decided when a product is ready to be sold. When these handsets pass through TENAA their specs are listed, and it is no different for Oppo?s N3.

Motorola Returns to China with Moto X Pro

Motorola promised last month that it would be returning to China soon and would be bringing with it a new smartphone. The company lived up to that promise, sort of. The American brand has announced its re-emergence in the Chinese market, but the new device is actually just a re-tooled Nexus 6.

Kodak Smartphone Announced

We announced before the New Year that Kodak would be launching a smartphone at CES, the company's first in fact, and so it has proved. The photography giant has entered the mobile market to stop the huge emigration there has been from consumer to smartphones from point and shoot digitals. Kodak has taken a huge hit, filed for bankruptcy and sold much of its patents to mobile giants. This is perhaps the last roll of the dice.

HTC Records Q4 Profit and Sales Growth

HTC has announced its fourth quarter earnings report and it is good news for the company has it seems the bran continues to pull back profit, while sales have increased. It's the third quarter in a row that HTC has now recorded positive results, after a run of seven quarters at a loss.

Samsung Launches Galaxy E5 and E7

Samsung has launched two new smartphones, the Galaxy E5 and Galaxy E7, two devices that drop a tier below the recently launched Galaxy A series and will serve as the company's budget devices. Both handsets carry Samsung's newest design language and though they lack the premium edge of more expensive Galaxy models they are appealing, and arguably the bust budget handsets Sammy has made in some time.

Asus Debuts ZenFone Zoom

As well as raising the curtain on the fantastic ZenFone 2 yesterday at CES, Asus also had another new device to show off, the ZenFone Zoom. Unlike the flagship baiting and affordable ZenFone 2, the Zoom is more of a niche device that is focused on photography and it carries a weightier, yet still decent, price tag.

Asus ZenFone 2: A Flagship on a Budget

Asus unveiled its new ZenFone 2 and ZenFone Zoom at CES this week and it is obvious that the company is planning to take its device to the next level. After selling 8 million ZenFone units through 2014, Asus said it wants to double shipments of its affordable device in 2015. One top of that, the Taiwanese company is also clearly pushing the ZenFone away from low end into flagship territory.
