Google Explains why Nexus 6 is Out of Stock

Google's Nexus 6 is the first bona fide flagship smartphone the company has ever released. Built by Motorola the device is a high spec'd with a Quad HD screen and Qualcomm Snapdragon 805. However, it has retained something that other Nexus smartphones have always had, it is not widely available. In fact, it has been in and out of stock sporadically since it launched back in November.

There have been plenty of leaks regarding Samsung's Galaxy S6, and by now we have a good idea of what specs the handset will have (including the Snapdragon/Exynos saga) and even how the Galaxy S6 will look. We have seen some prototypes over the last couple of months, but those images have not been amazing quality. However, today we are getting the best look at the Galaxy S6 yet.

OnePlus Launching new OnePlus One Cover

OnePlus One has posted a new teaser to its Weibo social media page in China and the image shows the company's "Never Settle" moto, while it also says a 10:00am time. As I understand it, we can expect an announcement for the Chinese company tomorrow at 10:00am, but don't go expecting any new smartphones.

LG Says Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 is not Overheating

While Samsung and Qualcomm are not seeing eye to eye over the Snapdragon 810 processor, LG has actually already announced a device rocking the chip, the G Flex 2. Of course, the company also has the G4 flagship ready to land, but that handset has been has been plagued by issues of the Snapdragon 810 overheating, something that has led to Samsung probably ditching the chipset for its Galaxy S6.

Facebook Maintains Profit and Mobile is the Reason

Facebook as a web company is a tired notion at this point as the social network is very much a mobile giant these days, or at least it is in terms of how it makes its money. On the whole the company increased revenue by a massive 49% through its fiscal fourth quarter to $3.58 billion. From that Facebook raked in $701 million in clear net income, with much of the revenue and profit coming from mobile advertising.

Samsung recorded its third straight quarterly decline through Q4, a period that included the roll out of the Galaxy Note 4 and the busy holiday period. The company could not turn around its fortunes and profits have now fallen by 64% over the last three quarters.
