The Sharp AQUOS Crystal landed in the US on Sprint and Boost a few months back and wowed us with its unique all-screen design. It looks utterly amazing in hand, but the truth is the handset was a bit of a mid-range driver, completely unspectacular in terms of performance and specs. Nothing particularly wrong with that, but the design deserves more in our opinion.

Android 5.0 Lollipop is finding its way to more and more devices, with even some third party OEM built handsets getting the latest and greatest from Google. The platform is now making its way to the Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Play Edition, the version of Sammy's 2013 flagship that runs the stock Android experience as Google intended it.

Motorola is one of the company's that paved the way for the current interest in the budget market, while the number of emerging markets moving into middle class incomes has also played a part. Motorola's Moto G and Moto E handsets are still among the best low end efforts on the market, although I feel a bit cheeky calling them low end due to their quality.

Chalk this up as surprising because Apple has added PayPal support for online payments in the United States and United Kingdom, making it even easier for consumers to buy products through the checkout process. The new feature is only available in those nations at the moment, with PayPal balances now usable for transactions through Apple.com.

Blackberry (Re) Launches Brick Builder Game

Blackberry had a go at the future and found that it has been left behind by Apple and Android, so the Canadian company has decided to turn back the clock. Yes, the Passport marries the best of both worlds, but the new Blackberry Classic is full on old school charm. It has the company's famous QWERTY keyboard and trackpad in tow, a mirror to the successful Bold smartphone.

Sony Pictures Hack Sophisticated Enough to Enter Government Websites

The Sony Pictures hack saga show no signs of abating, and in fact the perpetrators, the so-called Guardians of Peace (GOP), are even hinting at a worldwide cyber terrorism act and that Sony is just the first target. They managed to steal 100 terabytes of data including information on employee salaries, movie scripts and even screening versions of upcoming films that have since been leaked online.

Samsung Starts Production on iPhone 7 A9 Processor

Samsung's involvement in the next iPhone model (iPhone 6s or iPhone 7) has been well documented with the Korean company set to make 90% of the new A9 chips that will be used in Apple products in 2015. After winning that huge contract to make the new processor with 14nm FinFET technology Samsung is readying to put the A9 into production. In fact, the company is prepping its manufacturing plant in Austin, Texas and has started making the chip this week.
