If you tie yourself down to Verizon you will need to make sure you want to see out the term of your contract, because if you don't the cost it quite steep. The largest carrier in the United States has updated its terms and conditions with new prices for early termination.

T-Mobile brings Android 4.4.4 to Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014

While many devices are awaiting the roll out of Android 5.0 Lollipop, others are still playing catch up and are getting their KitKat patches out of the way. For example, T-Mobile has announced that the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition is now receiving Android 4.4.4, the last build of Google's KitKat phase.

Blackberry Classic on Rogers, rolls out December 17th

Blackberry's new smartphone is close to arriving and has made an appearance with Canadian carrier Rogers, available now on pre-order. The Blackberry Classic is a homage to Blackberry's successful years in the smartphone business with devices like the Bold and Curve. The device comes with a classic physical QWERTY keyboard and an optical trackpad, some old school stuff.

Samsung Galaxy A5 nearing roll out, but won't come cheap

Samsung raised the curtain on the Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A3 at the end of last month and ushered in a new range of devices with premium build quality (read metal). The company said at the time that the handsets would roll out sometime in November and it seems one of them is now available. The Galaxy A5 has made an appearance on Samsung's Chinese website, although the Galaxy A3 is still absent and now set date for either device has been issued.

How many tech designers do you know? Do you know who designed the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 for example, or even who had the influence for HTC to come up with the beauty that is the One M7/M8. These guys and gals may well create the mobile tech that you desire, but they are largely anonymous (isn't that how it should be?), but with Apple things are different.
