Nexus 4 sale resumes in Canada today at 3PM ET Posted: 03 Dec 2012 11:46 AM PST Google has announced that Canadian customers will once again be able to purchase an LG Nexus 4 from Google Play in a few minutes. Beginning at 12 noon PST/3PM ET, the Google Play Canada website will resume accepting orders for the 8GB and 16GB unlocked models of the Nexus 4. Heavy traffic and high demand kept many buyers from purchasing the phone when it launched in mid November, so Google has resorted to limiting sales periods by country. AT&T 4G LTE network spreads to Salt Lake City, Puerto Rico, and more markets Posted: 03 Dec 2012 07:33 AM PST AT&T today officially launched 4G LTE service in three new locations. The faster network is now available in Albuquerque, New Mexico; Guaynabo, Puerto Rico; Reading, Penn.; and Salt Lake City, Utah. Following several dozen launches in recent weeks, AT&T's 4G LTE network now reaches more than 150 million people in 108 markets. Nokia job posting for Linux experts is for HERE Maps, not an Android phone Posted: 03 Dec 2012 05:50 AM PST Nokia recently advertised a job opening in which it sought a Linux expert to work on "exciting new products," causing many to wonder if Nokia might waver on its Windows Phone-only plan and introduce an Android handset. Wonder no more because Doug Dawson, head of Media Relations at Nokia, has shot down that notion with the following tweet: "Our recently posted job is linked to our HERE Maps support for other platforms, including iOS and Android." Android is based on a Linux kernel, which ignited the original speculation, but Nokia has no plans for an Android device according to public statements. Read the full story here. |
