Evernote refreshes Skitch for Android

Evernote has released an update to its Skitch Android app that includes a new feature set as well as improved Evernote integration. New features include a redesigned home screen, new tools that include Pixelate, Highlighter, and Panning for enhancing photos from your gallery. An Evernote powered sync lets users traverse easily to Skitch Notes from any mobile or desktop device without skipping a beat. Skitch 2.0 is available now from the Google Play Store.

Google Play Store surpasses 700k Android app milestone

According to the search giant, Google's Play Store, previously known as the Android Market, now offers over 700,000 apps to its Android smartphone and tablet users. The reported milestone comes on the heels of yesterday's unveiling of Google's new Nexus 4 smartphone, the new Nexus 10 tablet, and an updated Nexus 7 tablet. Google is gaining much needed traction against rival Apple, which announced in September that it had also passed the 700k app threshold.
