AT&T sold 4.7 million iPhones last quarter, reports "record sales" for Android and Windows Phone

iOS 6 now available on 200 million devices

After one month of availability, iOS 6 - Apple's software designed for its iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - is currently on more than 200 million devices. Apple CEO Tim Cook announced the rapid upgrade process today at a special Apple event. Cook called it "the fastest upgrade rate in history" that Apple is aware of, though that claim can not immediately be independently validated. The adoption rate is most certainly the fastest in the history of iOS and Apple products. While not all features in iOS 6 have been brought to older devices, millions of iPhone and iPod touch devices from previous generations have key features from the latest version of Apple's mobile operating system.

AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note II arrives Nov.9 for $299

AT&T has confirmed that it will begin selling the Samsung Galaxy Note II on November 9. The phone and tablet hybrid device with a 5.5-inch HD Super AMOLED display will sell for $299.99 on a two-year agreement, the same price that has offered at U.S. Cellular. AT&T also confirmed that the 4G LTE-capable Galaxy Note II - which has an S Pen digital stylus, an 8 megapixel camera, and a 1.6 GHz quad-core processor - will be available for pre-order beginning October 25 at www.att.com/galaxynoteii.
