Flud News RSS reader shutting down August 8

RSS reading and article sharing application Flud will be shutting down in the very near future. Flud CEO Bobby Ghoshal announced minutes ago that the service will stop working next Wednesday, August 8. Flud is a Webby-nominated app for consuming and sharing news, but it never gained as big a following as Pulse or Flipboard. The mobile apps for Android and iOS have already been removed from the App Store and Google Play, and users have one week to export their stories, reading, lists, and RSS feeds before the data becomes unavailable. Users can visit flud.it to download their data and attempt to export it to other sources.

Microsoft Office Mobile for Office 365 Android app now available

Microsoft has released Office Mobile for Office 365, the subscription-based and cloud-supporting document creation tool, for Android. Available for iOS since June, Office Mobile 365 enables Word, Excel, and PowerPoint document creation straight from the source.

iPhone, BlackBerry, and Windows Phone to get NFC-based Isis mobile payment system

Isis, the mobile payments joint venture between AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile, will finally start its nationwide expansion later this year. The NFC-based payment solution, which currently supports only a few Android phones, will crossover to the three other major smartphone operating systems later this year.
