Nokia says it will announce next Lumia device May 14

Nokia is set to debut a new Lumia Windows Phone 8 smartphone next month at an exclusive event in London. The Finnish manufacturer has sent press invites to an event at which "The Nokia Lumia Story Continues." Previous rumors have hinted at Nokia debuting a new high-end Windows Phone 8 handset to better compete in North America and other markets. Details on the phone are scarce, but the next Lumia may have an aluminum body and advancements in camera technology first seen on its 41-megapixel PureView Symbian phone.

Smartphone with flexible OLED display will arrive later this year

Concepts for flexible displays have been shown at gadget conferences for years, but the technology will appear in consumer products later this year. LG has confirmed that it plans to release a smartphone with a flexible OLED screen in the final three months of 2013.
