Microsoft Lumia 640 and 640 XL launch in India and UK

Microsoft's MWC announced Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL have launched this week, with India the first market to get the mid-range pair. The handsets have also landed in the UK, one of the few major global markets where Windows Phone devices have done okay.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 is a couple of generations old these days, but Samsung has long confirmed that the two year old former flagship is getting Android 5.0 Lollipop. That futureproofs the handset for a while and gives it the latest full build of Google's mobile OS. AT&T has now started rolling out its Android 5.0.1 update for customers running the Galaxy S4.

HTC Announces One M9 Plus for Asia

The company has announced the One M9 Plus today, a handset that follows just a month after the reveal of the One M9 flagship, and a week after the high spec'd One E9 Plus. Sony Prepping High End Smartphone Called Lavender

We are still awaiting the launch of the Xperia Z4, Sony's upcoming new flagship smartphone, which is due to arrive sometime this summer.
