Samsung dips toe into using carbon fiber material to make fewer plastic phones

Samsung Petrochemical has formed a partnership to invest in using composite materials that feel less like plastic and more like something users will love to touch.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 tablets series launching July 7, prices start at $199

Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy Tab 3 series of Android tablets will debut in the United States beginning July 7. That's when the Galaxy Wi-Fi versions of the Galaxy Tab 3 7-inch, 8-inch, and 10.1-inch models will go on sale starting at $199.

Samsung releases Jay-Z Magna Carta app ahead of free album giveaway

Samsung has released the Android app that will be used to distribute free copies of Jay-Z's soon-to-launch album Magna Carta Holy Grail. The app is available exclusively for owners of the Samsung Galaxy S 4, Galaxy S III, and Galaxy Note II. Beginning July 4th, the first 1 million people to use the app to download will be able to download a free copy of Jay-Z's album.
