The Samsung Galaxy S 4 Mini is real and finally official. After a steady stream of leaks since the full-size Galaxy S 4 debuted in March, Samsung today confirmed that it will release an S 4 with reduced proportions and lower specs to reach more customers across the globe.

Twitter for iPhone and Android updated to support faster sharing and richer notifications

Twitter has updated its apps for Android and iOS, enhancing notifications on the former and speeding up the tweet proces on the later. When someone taps the share photo button, images from the camera roll appear and accelerate the pace users add photos to their tweets. The iOS version also removed borders so tweets are now fullscreen. The Android app has been updated to include more details in notifications. Rather than simply state "You have new interactions," Twitter says when followers favorite a tweet or shows avatars and full messages from select users. BlackBerry Q10 launches at T-Mobile June 5

The BlackBerry Q10, the first BlackBerry 10 device with a physical keyboard, will go on sale at T-Mobile U.S. retail stores beginning June 5. The phone will cost $99 down with 24 monthly payments of $20. Business customers had first crack at the Q10 earlier this month, but individual customers can purchase the phone next week.

Sprint and SoftBank deal cleared of security concerns by U.S. government agency

SoftBank's attempt to purchase a controlling share of Sprint Nextel poses no threat to national security, according to the findings of an investigation by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS). That removes yet another hurdle to the deal.
