Google and Facebook rumored to offer competing bids for mapping software Waze Posted: 24 May 2013 06:05 AM PDT Waze, a company that specializes in maps and driving directions enhanced by community feedback, is reportedly set to field acquisition offers from multiple companies. Following earlier rumors that Facebook offered Waze more than $1 billion, The Telegraph now reports that Google and "other large tech companies" have expressed interest to acquire the mapping company.
