HTC Announces New Desire 626, 526, and 520

HTC is in trouble, the company is losing money and it is evident that the One M9 flagship is not the answer to solving those woes. The Taiwanese giant will instead have to turn to lower end smartphones in its portfolio, such as a bunch of new Desire handsets launched today. HTC has revamped its affordable range and will be hoping to tap into a growing market for budget and mid-range smartphones.

LG G4 Slumps in South Korea

Here at MobileBurn we think the LG G4 has been given a raw deal and think LG delivered what it was meant to, an improvement on the already fantastic G3. However, in an Android market where smartphone leader Samsung went all out with a seismic shift in its flagship range, consumers are less impressed by merely updating a device, just ask HTC about its One M9. It seems the G4 is lumped into that category and is suffering as a result.

HTC Confirms Android M for 2014 One M8

HTC is always among the first to detail its plans for new Android builds and the day Google announced Android M at I/O the company said its One M9 and One M9+ flagships would be getting the software within three months of its release. Now the struggling Taiwanese giant has also confirmed that the 2014 flagship, the One M8, will also be getting Android M.

Oppo Debuts Strong Mirror 5 Smartphone

Oppo has launched a new smartphone today, the Mirror 5, a lower spec'd budget device that actually arrives as something of a design triumph. The Chinese company is the latest manufacturer to offer an affordable device with a solid aesthetic appeal, although the Mirror 5 brings something different to the party.

Huawei Nexus to Boast Snapdragon 820 and Fingerprint Scanner

It is pretty clear by now that Chinese company Huawei is building Google's next flagship Nexus device, taking over from Motorola's Nexus 6. Recently Evan Blass (famed @evleaks tipster) has been back in action and his latest info suggests that the Huawei made Nexus will be a beast of a smartphone and will bring some first to Google's range.
