Verizon Nokia Lumia Icon gets Lumia Denim Update

The Nokia Lumia Icon is a pretty standard mid-range device these days, but it is a good smartphone and is the closest you will get to a flagship (with the Lumia 1520) that Microsoft currently has on its portfolio. The Verizon version of the Icon is now coming up to date in terms of software with Microsoft and Big Red issuing the new Lumia Denim for Windows Phone 8.1 update.

LG G Flex 2 Finds its Way to Singapore... US Soon?

LG announced the G Flex 2 at CES last month, and it is a different handset to the original. It is a flagship smartphone for a start and has been available in LG's South Korean homeland since January 30th. While the G Flex 2's world tour will take some time, the device is starting to spread, with Singapore the next confirmed destination. The country will get the G Flex 2 on February 27th for pre-order and will be available to buy from March 14th.

Samsung continues to roll out Android 5.0 Lollipop slowly. The company seems to be moving from country to country and picking devices at random. There is surely method to the madness, but we have seen the Galaxy Note Edge updated in some nations, while the Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3 have had their Lollipop updates in Russia.

Apple Most Valuable Company Ever, Worth Over $700 Billion

Apple has been enjoying a stellar start to 2014 where the company has put to an end doubts about its dominance. The company sold as many smartphones as Samsung last quarter, recorded the most profitable three months in history, and saw just about everyone give it a good old pat on the back. The celebration is not over for Cupertino though as it became the most valuable company in history this week.

Lenovo P70 Coming to Europe

Lenovo launched the P70 yesterday in its Chinese homeland, a device that comes with some pretty standard mid-range specs, but one significant calling card. The Lenovo P70 packs a 4,000mAh battery which the company says offers 46 days of standby power. A day after unveiling the handset for the Chinese market, the company has shed some light on its availability outside of the country.
