Android 5.0 Lollipop Lands on HTC One M8 Google Play

After a short delay it seems that HTC is finally ready to begin rolling out the Android 5.0 Lollipop to the One M8 Google Play Edition. Mo Versi, a company executive, confirmed on Twitter that HTC had received the necessary data approval from Google and is now pushing out the 5.0 bump for the One M8 GPE over the air (OTA).

Apple and Samsung have been locked in a war over which company dominates the smartphone market for years, with Samsung's slew of Galaxy devices topping market share while Apple's iPhone steal the thunder for an individual handset. Neither the iPhone 6 or the Galaxy S5 are cheap devices, they occupy the flagship area and offer premium appeal and high end specs. Samsung Flagships Getting Android 5.0 Lollipop in January

Plenty of people are now rocking Android 5.0 Lollipop, as devices from Motorola, LG, Google (Nexus), and Google Play Editions are all boasting the latest and greatest build of the platform. However, Samsung, the biggest Android vendor of them all as yet to make the jump to Lollipop and the company has not even offered specific dates for the roll out.
