Windows Phone is a hard platform to predict. The OS enjoyed growth worldwide through 2013 but has struggled in key markets this year while maintaining a solid base in emerging markets. Microsoft Lumia 1030 Official Image Leak

Microsoft has a new high end camera specific smartphone on the way called the Nokia Lumia 1030, the follow up to the Nokia PureView packing Lumia 1020. The device has been known for some time now under the codename McLaren and it is expected to land soon, but the device has had a massive leak today that lays bare the handset for us all to see. There have been 50 images leaked of what seems to show a prototype of the Lumia 1030 McLaren next to Apple's iPhone 6.

Jolla Tablet Ready for Productions, Adds Micro SD Support

Jolla easily managed to reach its crowdfunding target on Indiegogo and the campaign has now come to an end with the company able to build its Sailfish running Jolla Tablet. The company managed to raise $1,824,055, much more than the $380,000 the Finnish brand was originally asking for. Due to the extra cash Jolla can spruce up the tablet even more with a micro SD slot supporting expansion up to 128GB and a split screen feature.

Xiaomi has had a huge impact on the smartphone world in 2014 and one of the core devices in that rise has been the Redmi 1S. The device is available in the wider Asian community and is a variant of the Hongmi that has found great success in China.
