| RIM reports $114 million net loss in third quarter 2013; BlackBerry 10 can't get here soon enough Posted: 20 Dec 2012 01:45 PM PST  RIM managed to maintain about 79 million global users based on shipping 6.9 million smartphones and 255,000 BlackBerry PlayBooks in the quarter. | T-Mobile HSPA+ network modernized for New York, Boston, Dallas and several other major markets Posted: 20 Dec 2012 10:30 AM PST  T-Mobile has rapidly managed to upgrade much of its HSPA+ footprint to enable faster download speeds and more reliable coverage for devices operating on the 1900 MHz spectrum, including the unlocked Apple iPhone. WhatsApp is now even more appealing for iPhone users because the normally 99-cent application is currently listed as free in the App Store, perhaps as part of a temporary promotion meant to boost its rank.
