T-Mobile HTC One S Android 4.0.4 update adds new Sense features and bug fixes

T-Mobile has made available an over-the-air update for the HTC One S. The update moves the HTC One S from Android 4.0.3 to Android 4.0.4., and upgrades the user interface from Sense 4.0 to Sense 4.1. The change offers a few new software changes, but it focuses more on bug fixes and stabilizing performance. T-Mobile says the update fixes issues related to connection delays, Wi-Fi signal problems, email links not opening, and songs being skipped. Users can download the update by pressing Settings > About phone > Software updates > check now.

AT&T updates Sony Xperia Ion to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich

Barnes & Noble starts UK pre-order period for NOOK Simple Touch and NOOK Simple Touch GlowLight

Barnes & Noble has said that it will sell its NOOK Simple Touch and NOOK Simple Touch GlowLight ereaders n the UK by mid-October, but the retailer has begun accepting pre-orders for both devices. UK residents can spend £79 to reserve a NOOK Simple Touch or £109 for the NOOK Simple Touch GlowLight at any of the following retailers: John Lewis, Argos, Sainsbury's, Dixons, Waitrose, Blackwell's and Foyles. If you have ever wondered how many Android apps are in Google Play, Google has just shared the answer - 675,000. Those apps have served more than 25 billion downloads, and Google has launched a sale to celebrate reaching both milestones. For the next five days, several apps will be available for only 25 cents. Google will also offer special discounts on 25 movies, books, albums, and magazines. The sales are not yet live but should launch later today. Not all markets are able to access paid Google Play content or its entire media options, so availability will vary.
