Latest Nuance voice tech powers the myTouch 3G Slide Genius Button

Nuance has announced that its latest advanced speech capabilities are debuting on the T-Mobile myTouch 3G Slide Android smartphone. Its Voice Control platform is the first platform-agnostic solution for combining embedded and connected voice capabilities, which makes the performance faster and more accurate. The myTouch 3G Slide sports a Genius Button that lets you control the phone, and Nuance's Dragon Dictation for voice-to-text in messages and emails.

Use your own voice for navigation with Nokia Ovi Maps and Own Voice

Nokia has released the latest addition to Ovi Maps, a feature called "Own Voice." The software lets you use, as the name implies, your own voice for GPS turn by turn directions. Once installed, you'll be prompted to record your voice guidance instructions. Afterward, you can install the voice pack or share it with others. The application is available for free inside the Ovi Store.

Boost Mobile adds unlimited email, 411, and IM to monthly unlimited plan

Today Boost Mobile announced that customers taking advantage of its $50 monthly unlimited plan can now place unlimited 411 calls, access unlimited email, and send unlimited instant messages for the same price. The $50 Monthly Unlimited Plan also includes free talk, text, web, and walkie-talkie.
