Opera Mini browser for iPhone approved

According to a release put out by browser maker Opera earlier today, the company's free Opera Mini browser for the iPhone and iPod touch family of devices has been approved by Apple and should appear in the App Store within 24 hours. Opera Mini is optimized to work on slower data connections and could prove valuable to iPhone users that spend time in areas without 3G coverage.

Verizon and Sprint both moved more mobile data than AT&T in 2009

According to research firm ABI, Verizon and Sprint both carried more customer data than AT&T in 2009. According to its report, Verizon and Sprint accounted for 63% of the country's mobile data use. ABI expects Verizon to hold its number 1 position for at least the next 5 years.

Mobile DTV trial launches in Washing D.C. on May 3

Microsoft launches KIN ONE and KIN TWO with Verizon, Vodafone

Google Mobile now supports universal search in Google Suggest

Google recently announced that its mobile client now supports universal search features within Google Suggest. That means if you were to search "USD in pounds," to find the conversion rate from dollars to pounds, for example, the answer would be displayed right where the suggestion box drops down, without you having to search first. The feature works on Android, the iPhone, and Palm webOS devices in the U.S.

Video: HTC HD mini video tour - part 1 of 2

Here's Russell's unboxing and quick overview of the Windows Mobile 6.5 powered HTC HD mini, the HD2's little brother. The HD mini features a half-VGA capacitive touchscreen display and all of the same HTC Sense user interface goodness that can be found on the significantly larger HD2.

Palm seeking buyout bid?

Palm may be up for sale, according to Bloomberg, which says that the company is working with Goldman Sachs and Qatalyst Partners to find a buyer. Rumor has it that HTC and Lenovo are interested parties.
