HTC Records Terrible Second Quarter Loss

HTC announced its second quarter financials today and there was not much surprise to see the results were not good. After a number of quarters turning a profit, the company?s minor comeback came to a grinding halt as it dipped below the red line. The reason for that is the lukewarm reception the One M9 flagship received from critic and consumer alike.

With handset sales declining many have mooted the idea that Sony would sell its Xperia decision, something the company has denied. ASUS Unveils Solidly Spec'd Pegasus Plus X550

You may have been thinking that ASUS is all about the ZenFone range, but the company has plenty of other smartphone products (FonePad anyone?) and has just announced the Pegasus 2 handset. In fact the exact name is the Pegasus 2 Plus X550, a mid-range device that comes with a solid enough design and spec sheet.

Samsung Offering $200 Cashback on Galaxy Note 4 in the United States

LG announced last week that it would be offering a free charger, battery, and charging cradle with every G4 purchase in the United States through July. Korean counterpart Samsung thinks it can do better though and the company is offering $200 off every Galaxy Note 4 bought during this month, again this is a United States exclusive unfortunately.

Samsung Profits to Fall Again, Quarterly Numbers to Drop

Samsung announced estimates for its financial results for the last quarter and it really is a mixed bag for the Korean giant, with profits continuing to fall. The company has been through trying times over the last year and a half and indeed this was the seventh quarter in a row that the company's profits have fallen.

BlackBerry Dallas Certified for Sale

BlackBerry is working on several rumoured smartphones, such as the Android running Venice, although it has yet to be confirmed. Another handset that is still not official is the BlackBerry Dallas (also known as BlackBerry Oslo), but we know the device is now imminent as it has been certified in three countries.
