AT&T launching Voice over LTE May 23 in select markets

AT&T has announced that it will begin offering enhanced call quality through Voice over LTE (VoLTE) next week. AT&T's HD Voice will launch in select markets as the company begins testing an all-IP solution that will route calls over its 4G LTE network, but only a very select group of people will be able to use the system at first.

AT&T HTC One M8 update adds Extreme power saving, Duo Camera, and Google Drive fix

HTC yesterday began updating the AT&T model of the HTC One M8. Though labeled a maintenance release, the update adds the important Extreme power saving mode that can extend the battery life of a One M8 by a considerable margin. The update also fixes a problem that prevented the phone from getting a free 50GB of storage from Google Drive, fixes assorted bugs, and adds more Duo Camera effects. Users can try to update the device by charging the phone to 75 percent and then going to Settings > AT&T Software update > Check for updates.
