Google's Quickoffice for Android and iOS now free with 10GB of Google Drive storage

Quickoffice, a mobile app suite for Android and iOS made by a company Google acquired last year, is now available on Android and iOS at no cost. The Google Drive team today revealed that Quickoffice can now be used to edit or create Microsoft Office Documents.

The Moto X is available at the major carriers and typically costs $199 on a two-year agreement or $599 when purchased for full retail price. MVNO Republic Wireless is undercutting the competition by selling the Moto X for only $299 without any contract.

Google Wallet is in the process of going from a rebranded NFC-reliant payment service to a PayPal-esque mobile payment app that focuses more on sending money to people and redeeming offers. A new iPhone app will be part of that transition.

iOS 7 blocks uncertified Lightning cables but there's a way to bypass it

Apple has a reputation of urging customers not to use charging cables other than the officially sanctioned, and coincidentally more expensive, cables sold by Apple and authorized vendors. The new iOS 7 encourages similar behavior by blocking support for unlicensed Lightning cables.
