Google Nexus 7 4G LTE version for AT&T and T-Mobile now available

The Google Nexus 7 debuted in the summer as a well-received Wi-Fi tablet. Fans of Google's latest tablet, built in partnership with ASUS, can now extend their connectivity options to include 4G LTE. Google is now selling an LTE-compatible Nexus device that works with AT&T or T-Mobile.

Google Wallet launching on all Android 2.3 or later phones in the U.S., but NFC payments still missing on most carriers

Google Wallet released an update today that I've already covered in a separate post. I've since learned that Wallet will work on all Android 2.3 or later handsets in the U.S., regardless of carrier, but with some limitations. Google Wallet was previously blocked by AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon in favor of their Isis joint venture. AllThingsD reports the latest version of Wallet still won't support NFC payments on AT&T, T-Mobile, or Verizon phones, but they will be downloadable because they support sending payments to individuals and using loyalty cards. Wallet's NFC-based capabilities will continue to work only on select devices that already support it.

Amazon Instant Video for iOS adds Airplay and IMDB

Amazon today released an update to its Instant Video app that makes it possible to stream movies and TV episodes to a television. Instant Video now supports AirPlay, so Amazon members can now use their iPhone or iPad to play video with Apple TV. Amazon also added IMDB integration to reveal cast and director information, ratings, trivia, and other information. Download Amazon Instant Video
