Twitter adds galleries, apps, and products to Android and iPhone, adds a touch of Holo to Android

Twitter has finally chosen to embrace Android 4.0 with a touch, just a touch, of Holo navigation concepts. On a day when it also added new media display formats to its iPhone and web apps, the company tweaked the design of the Android app as well.

Android now accounts for half of Instagram's users

Instagram added several million new users days after the photo-sharing app debuted on Android. However, Apple's iOS, which had a more than 20-million user head start before Instagram came to Android, remained ahead by a wide margin. One year later, Android accounts for nearly half of all Instagram users. Instagram shared the stat in a blog post highlighting how switching to Android led to massive growth. Maybe they can take the lesson as a sign that now's a good time to come to Windows Phone and BlackBerry 10, as well?

SkyDrive iOS app finally updates to version 3.0

SkyDrive released major updates for its Windows Phone and Android apps last year, but the Apple iOS version was unable to make the jump because of a dispute with Apple of subscription fees. The issue appears to be resolved somehow because SkyDrive 3.0 is now available.

Actually, the AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 4 will only be $199 for the base model

AT&T raised eyebrows last week when it announced the Samsung Galaxy S 4 price details. The carrier said that the Galaxy S 4 would cost $249.99 on a two-year agreement, but it neglected to mention that a cheaper price would be available for a 16GB version of the phone. The 16GB Galaxy S 4 will cost only $199.99; the 32GB model will cost $249.99. Customers will save $50 by opting to buy the 16GB version and relying on a microSD slot for additional storage space.

Verizon: We're not interested in buying Vodafone with AT&T or anyone else
