AT&T provides Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update to LG Escape

AT&T has begun updating the LG Escape to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. LG Escape owners should start seeing update notifications beginning today, but they an press Settings > General > About phone > Software Update > Update Now to manually search for an update. Android 4.1 adds new notifications, Google Now, and AT&T DriveMode among other many other features.

Android heading towards 1 billion activations by end of the year, 1.5 million added each day

Android will activate its 1 billionth device by the end of 2013, according to comments made by Google Chairman Eric Schmidt. Speaking at the Dive Into Mobile conference, Schmidt announced that Android already activates an average of 1.5 million devices each day.
