Microsoft and Nokia have a new Windows Phone ad airing on television that tries to let people know consumers know that Android and iPhone aren't the only games in town. The ad is over the top, silly, and kind of makes sense.

Google bans Facebook and others from updating apps outside of Google Play

Nokia says it will announce next Lumia device May 14

Nokia is set to debut a new Lumia Windows Phone 8 smartphone next month at an exclusive event in London. The Finnish manufacturer has sent press invites to an event at which "The Nokia Lumia Story Continues." Previous rumors have hinted at Nokia debuting a new high-end Windows Phone 8 handset to better compete in North America and other markets. Details on the phone are scarce, but the next Lumia may have an aluminum body and advancements in camera technology first seen on its 41-megapixel PureView Symbian phone.
