Google has released the SDK for the Android 2.0.1 update, and Verizon informed us today that Motorola DROID users can expect to receive the update soon. Verizon also confirmed an HTC DROID Eris BOGO deal rumor.

Sprint clarifies when and why it provides GPS data to law enforcement agencies

Sprint has clarified a statement made that said it provided law enforcement officials with 8 million GPS records last year. The carrier, like all wireless carriers, it says, provides location-based data only when legal documents are present.
