However, the Note 2 remains a potent device two years after its release and as it is the device the kicked the phablet trend into gear. Indeed, if you want a phablet then arguably only the Note 3, 4, and iPhone 6 Plus are better, and the Galaxy Note 2 just got more interesting thanks to a new software update. | HP MB Chronowing is a high end smartwatch Posted: 03 Nov 2014 08:25 AM PST  HP has entered the smartwatch market with a pretty big splash today, raising the curtain on a new wearable designed by Michael Bastian, the Chronowing. Pulling a renowned American fashion designer in for the device probably tells you what HP's goals are. | Sony explains Chinese spying complaint Posted: 03 Nov 2014 07:10 AM PST  Sony has had some problems over the weekend as there have been question marks over the security and privacy on some of its Xperia smartphones. A Sony Xperia user found a folder for Chinese internet company Baidu on his device, and he learned that the "myXperia" app was pinging data to servers located in China. Read the full story here. |
| Motorola updates 2013 Moto G to Android 4.4.4 Posted: 03 Nov 2014 06:53 AM PST  Motorola is maintaining its position as the smartphone company of choice if you want a good Android experience that sticks close to Google's core platform. Interestingly, Motorola was sold to Lenovo last week by the ties to Android will remain strong with the company maintaining a stock Android experience on its devices, while of course Motorola also makes the new Google Nexus 6 flagship. | Nokia to make Android comeback in 2016 Posted: 03 Nov 2014 05:41 AM PST  Microsoft purchased Nokia's devices and services business earlier in the year and now build the company's old Lumia smartphones. However, Redmond left plenty of Nokia behind and it seems the old Finnish giant is getting itself ready to re-enter the smartphone market.
