| Netflix for iOS adds HD and AirPlay background streaming Posted: 03 Oct 2013 06:18 AM PDT  Netflix has released Version 5.0 of its iOS app that includes the typical "playback optimizations" for the on-demand streaming of movies and television shows. The highlight features of the new launch are Netflix HD for iOS 7, which will allow for streaming higher-quality HD video, and AirPlay streaming to an Apple TV.
