Xiaomi Redmi 2 Priced for Global Market

Xiaomi launched its impressive Redmi Note 2 last week, with a price tag of just $125 in China it is a genuine bargain. However, we expected that affordability would change when the well spec'd handset made its way to other global regions. And so it is, as Xiaomi has revealed the Redmi Note 2 is going global (sort of) and will actually be more expensive. Don't worry though as the device is still something of a bargain.

LeTV Teases Snapdragon 820 Smartphone

LeTV has made a splash recently. The newly formed company (that has backing from mega brand Lenovo) became the fastest to ever sell one million smartphones, its devices becoming an instant success in China. Now LeTV is potentially aiming for another first as it teased a smartphone that will be running the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow is Official

Google officially announced that Android M, announced by the company earlier in the year, will be called Android Marshmallow when it launches. The company rolled out a statue of the Android robot carrying a large marshmallow to announce the name, while Google also revealed that the next full build will otherwise be known as Android 6.0.

Samsung Preparing Galaxy O Range of Smartphones

Galaxy S, Galaxy Note, Galaxy A, Galaxy J, and myriad other models. Samsung already has a pretty significant handset portfolio, and in fact the company has trimmed and streamlined its output. That will not stop the South Korean launching more smartphones, with a new series of handsets apparently being prepped for launch.

LG's Second NUCLUN Chips Bests Samsung's Exynos 7420

LG and Samsung share plenty of similarities, and beyond their smartphone businesses too. Following in Samsung's footsteps last year, LG decided to create its own processor division, debuting its own NUCLUN chipset. That processor only made in LG's own South Korea, but the next NUCLUN silicon is likely to have wider appeal as it will be a full flagship processor.
