| NVIDIA Recalls Shield Tablets Amid Fire Hazard Posted: 31 Jul 2015 11:37 AM PDT  We sniff a PR disaster. NVIDIA has opened a voluntary recall of every single Shield Tablet that has been purchased in the last 12 months due to a safety issue. The battery used inside the slate can apparently overheat enough that it becomes a fire hazard, making the overheating issues of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 seem tame in comparison.
