T-Mobile LG G3 Getting Android 5.0 Lollipop This Month

T-Mobile is finally updating its version of the LG G3 to Android 5.0 Lollipop, much later than other carriers and international variants. Considering Lollipop launched back last November and until recently the G3 was LG's main flagship handset, it has been tardy to say the least by T-Mobile. At least now consumers with the G3 on the Magenta Network are finally getting Android 5.0.

Xiaomi has Sold more than 10 Million Redmi 2 Devices

Xiaomi is in a position to expand past smartphones these days, with the company announcing smart air conditioners today. However, handsets still make up 99% of the Chinese brands' business, and the Redmi 2 and Redmi 2A smartphones are proving to be among the company's most popular. Xiaomi announced that combined both device have surpassed 10 million in unit sales.

Fantastic Meizu m2 Note has 10 Million Reservations

Meizu's m2 Note (or Blue Charm Note 2) is an impressive smartphone, it is solidly spec'd and a steal at just $130 (base model). Announced earlier this month, the Chinese company revealed that the device will be available from June 12, giving consumers in China the chance to reserve their unit. And they have done that, to the tune of 10 million reservations made for the handset.

Sony to Continue Image Sensor Dominance in China

That may come as a shock for those who remember Sony from even a decade ago, but as a hardware brand the Japanese company is struggling. In imaging it is thriving and with the focus now on camera tech, Sony is considering expanding its operations into China.

ASUS Makes Money on 1.5 Million Smartphones Sold

ASUS has often struggled to make money in the smartphone market, but thanks to the well-received ZenFone range the company is pushing itself among the elite companies. Indeed, on the back of the ZenFone 2, ASUS sold 1.5 million smartphones through the month of May and says it expects to shift 2 million throughout June. With those sales figures the Taiwanese brand made money on its smartphone division last month.
