Tablet Sales Decline Again, Cellular Slates Increase

Apple's iPad sales have been tumbling for many quarters, but the company's CEO Tim Cook has said he is not worried as they knew this would happen. He said consumer cycles for tablets are different than smartphones, and also said the iPad would recover. Apple would be a lot more worried if other tablets were increasing sales, but they are not, with slate sales in the United States continuing to decline.

T-Mobile has put itself on the map as a major carrier in recent years by taking on its rivals head on. The company did not dance around Verizon (the biggest carrier in the United States) but instead hit it on the nose and pulled its pants down. However, the company's latest media offensive against Big Red seems to be backfiring a little, so is the T-Mobile bubble bursting.

Huawei Schedules United States Media Event for June 2

Chinese megabrand Huawei has scheduled a media event that will be held in New York City on June 2nd. While it is unclear what device/s the company will be launching at the event, it is being widely speculated that the P8 flagship will be confirmed for a release in the United States. Some Chinese outlets are even suggesting the full P8 range will launch, including the Huawei P8 Max and Huawei P8 Lite.

Microsoft Details Windows 10 Mobile

Microsoft is continuing to flesh out its plans for Windows 10, with the company confirming today that there will be seven different SKUs of the platform. Of course, our primary concern is the mobile oriented version, which will be ushered in later in the year as a replacement for Windows Phone 8. It has been assumed that either Windows Phone 10 or just Windows 10 would be used for the name, but it will actually be called Windows 10 Mobile Microsoft announced.

LG Lancet, Windows Phone Coming to Verizon Today

We have heard rumors for several months that LG is returning to the Windows Phone fold after a considerable absence. The Korean company is ready to give the platform another chance just before Microsoft transitions from Windows Phone 8 to Windows 10. Today there are reports saying that the so called LG Lancet (LG-VW820) will be landing on Verizon, the biggest carrier in the United States.

AT&T Samsung Galaxy S6 Receives Mysterious Update

If you own Samsung's new Galaxy S6 flagship on AT&T in the United States, you should be receiving a new update for the handset. Interestingly though, it is not entirely clear what the upgrade is for as there has been no changelog released, but it is certainly not for new software as the device remains on Android 5.0.2.

ASUS ZenWatch 2 Launching at Computex Next Month

The current ASUS ZenWatch is one of the best wearables on the markets, good-looking and solidly spec'd, but the company said that the sequel would not arrive until next year. That was the news from ASUS CEO Jerry Shen back in April, but news in Taiwan now suggests that Shen has changed his mind and says the smartwatch is on course to be launched during the third quarter of 2015 instead.

LG Back in Frame for Nexus Smartphone?

After LG launched the G3 flagship last year the company built a whole portfolio of smartphones based off the handset. With the G4 replacement now launched it seems the Korean company has similar plans for its brand new flag waver. A new listing on Vodafone Hungary showed that a LG G4 Mini is in the works, nestled in amongst the carriers other mid-range devices.

ASUS Lowers Expectations, Plans 25 Million Unit Sales

Solid sales of the ASUS ZenFone and the warm reception of the ZenFone 2 in January led the company to make bold sales predications, with the Taiwanese giant aiming for 30 million smartphone sales in 2015. However, the opening of the year was actually worse than expected and ASUS has been forced to revaluate how many units it will move, although the company still expects to sell a very respectable 25 million smartphones this year.
