Google Now notifications now appearing on PC/Mac computers

It was revealed in January that Google was testing the ability to see Google Now notifications in the Chrome beta desktop apps, and the feature has now been added to the main version of the app as well. Google has announced that PC and Mac users will shortly be able to receive reminders about pending appointments, news updates, schedules and sports stars for favorite teams, and other information previously seen only on mobile applications. The update is rolling out now, so within the next few days, users who sign-in to their Google account in a Chrome desktop browser will see a small bell icon in the bottom right corner (PC) or top left corner (Mac) when they have pending notifications.

LG Optimus F3 launches on Boost Mobile

Boost Mobile today announced the release of another low-cost Android phone designed to be paired with its $55 Monthly Unlimited plans. The latest smartphone added to the device portfolio is the LG Optimus F3, a sans-QWERTY version of a device we saw earlier this year. The Optimus F3 ships with a 4-inch display, a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, 4GB ROM, a 2,460 mAh battery, and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with LG's software add-ons like QuickMemo. The retail price for the phone is $129 without contract and is on sale now.

Microsoft's Nokia purchase expected to be completed in April

Microsoft has received approval from almost all of the major regulatory bodies in the world for its bid to purchase the Nokia Devices and Services division. However, the deal that was expected to be completed by now is heading toward completion next month.
