T-Mobile Galaxy S5 launching April 11 Posted: 20 Mar 2014 04:02 PM PDT T-Mobile today became the third carrier to clarify its launch plans for the Samsung Galaxy S5. The fourth-place carrier confirmed that it will launch the Galaxy S5 on April 11 and begin taking pre-orders online or in-store beginning March 24. The phone will cost $660 when purchased in full, but customers also have the option of getting a $0 down phone that splits the cost into 24 payments of $27.50 per month. Read the full story here. |

Qik closing down April 30 and pushing users to Skype Posted: 20 Mar 2014 07:21 AM PDT Qik, the video calling and messaging service that Skype acquired in 2011, is shutting down next month. Having already replicated the Qik feature set in Skype, there's no longer a need to maintain the app. Users can continue using Qik until April 30, 2014, but the apps will cease working that day. Videos recorded on Qik will also be deleted, so members must use the dashboard to download their content from the dashboard to save their videos or upload them to YouTube. Videos sent by VideoMail will not be able to be downloaded.
