AT&T LG G2 launching Sept. 12 for $199.99

Now AT&T has joined the chorus of carriers announcing plans to release the LG G2. The carrier has just revealed that it will begin selling the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 800-sporting G2 tomorrow, September 6, but only online. In-store purchases will not start until September 13. The phone will cost $199.99 with a two-year agreement or an additional $27 added to a monthly bill through the AT&T Next program. More information will be available at ATT.com/G2.

T-Mobile to sell LG G2 for $99.99 down payment starting Sept. 18

The LG G2 heading to Verizon was officially announced today, and T-Mobile has also revealed details on its launch plans for the Android smartphone with power and volume buttons on the back of the device rather than the side. T-Mobile says that it will sell the G2, in black or white color options, for $99.99 down and 24 monthly payments of $21. The phone will go on sale online on September 18 but will not be available in stores until September 25.

Apple today began sending invites to websites to inform them that the rumored September 10 announcement of the new iPhone will take place next Tuesday beginning at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET. Apple is expected to announce more features of its iOS 7 software and debut two phones: an upgraded iPhone 5S and a lower-cost plastic iPhone 5C. Next week's announcement could be the biggest mobile news from Apple in quite a long time.

LG G2 launching in U.S. and Germany this month

LG has confirmed that the LG G2 global launch will start in two big markets in North America and Europe this month. That's about all the company said because it still hasn't provided any details about pricing or carriers; all we can definitively say is that the G2 will launch in the United States and Germany in September. In the U.S., individual carriers will likely be the place to learn when and where to purchase the G2. LG has already confirmed that all four of the major carriers will offer the G2, so we just have to wait on AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, and T-Mobile to solidify the details.

Microsoft buys Nokia, takes direct control of Windows Phone
